Coca-Cola HBC Austria in Edelstal

The state-of-the-art production and logistics center in Edelstal in Burgenland has been in operation since 2013.

The majority of Coca-Cola’s beverage portfolio in Austria is produced locally. Our goal is to provide refreshment on time and to manufacture beverages in the right quantity, matching highest quality standards.

The Edelstal plant is one of the first plants in the Coca-Cola HBC Group to receive the 2014 European Watership (EWS) Gold Certificate. Successful re-certification was achieved in 2015, 2016 and 2017.

In order to guarantee environmental protection, high quality and safety in all functions and at all levels, we constantly set new, ambitious sustainability goals and commit ourselves to continuous operational excellence. The Coca-Cola HBC Group has been named the sustainability leader in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the fourth consecutive year, for example.


At the Edelstal plant, we have invested heavily in modern recycling plants, heat recovery and water-saving technologies. Currently, we use 1.79 liters of water per liter of our finished beverage. #YouthEmpowered: Mentors from Coca-Cola HBC Austria provide job perpectives

#YouthempoweredTogether with the Public Employment Service Austria (AMS), Coca-Cola HBC Austria launched the #YouthEmpowered initiative to provide young people without a job with a perspective and optimism. By 2020, we want to reach a total of 3,500 young people in order to support them to increase their chances on the labor market. In the Vienna office, more than 100 employees have already been involved as mentors and have motivated participants of #YouthEmpowered to believe in themselves and in their chances to achieve a successful career.
